Welcome to Little Dog Art Studios – I'm glad you're here.
My name is Tim Colomer. I'm a United States Marine Corps combat veteran and former bomb squad technician. I spent years walking toward danger—disarming explosives and facing the unthinkable. But when I was wounded in Iraq, life changed in an instant.
In the aftermath, I struggled with PTSD and a traumatic brain injury. It was a dark season, and for a while, I didn’t know how to make sense of everything I’d been through. That’s when I discovered art—not just as a hobby, but as a lifeline. What started as therapy became a passion, and eventually, a profession.
Now, I paint to heal, to honor, to connect, and to bring joy. Whether I’m creating lighthearted pet portraits, powerful pieces about war and recovery, or meaningful commissions for others, every brushstroke comes from a place of purpose.
Thank you for visiting my site. I hope you find something here that speaks to you—something that makes you feel understood, inspired, or simply brings a smile.
